Every Step On Your Journey Matters
Hi! I'm Tracey.
I lost my son when he was 14 years old in a tragic accident. The final hours of his life were surreal. Needless to say, I know loss intimately and grief all to well.
I'm an RN with 40 years of experience and I have been devoted to caring for palliative and long-term care patients.
Now, I get to bring all of my expertise as a nurse to the work I do as an End of Life Doula.
Talking about death isn't what kills us, and end of life planning doesn't need to be morbid.
Death is a natural part of life. When we talk about death openly it provides the opportunity to feel complete in our life.
So let's find the time to connect. I'll listen and learn about your hopes and wishes for the care of yourself or your family member.
I'm would be honoured to hold your hand through this part on your journey.
You can call or text me at (705)741-8200. Also you can email me at tracey@onyourjourney.ca
What do I do now?
I Just Received A Palliative Diagnosis.
Receiving a palliative diagnosis is likely the most difficult news you will ever have to comprehend.
There's a lot to process.
Many aspects of your life will need tending and difficult decisions will need to be made at the same time. An End Of Life Doula has many benefits including emotional support; maintaining objectivity; providing personalized care; offering your family respite; and helping with paperwork. Each situation is different with each requiring customized help and support.
It can feel overwhelming--but you don't have to manage alone. As your Doula, I will help you make a Death With Dignity Plan and can even provide family support after death.
I am here to offer you and your family the support necessary so that you're able to enjoy every living moment together with the least amount of stress possible.

Caring For Elderly Parents Has Made Me Think About My Own End Of Life & I Want To Make Sure I Have A Plan
It can be stressful caring for elderly parents or tending to their end life matters after they've died.
If you have children, you may be thinking, "I don't want them to have to be burdened."
If you don't have children, you may be thinking that you want to have an End Of Life Care Plan recorded somewhere to ensure people know what you want in terms of your care. I'm not just referring to an Advanced Directive... because that's just the beginning. I can help with this! Advanced Care Planning ensures death with dignity and honours your wishes when you're not able to speak for yourself.
